Dr. Ehab Akkary, MD, FACS, FAACS, FASMBS
Dr. Ehab Akkary, MD, FACS, FAACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery with a particular focus on body contouring, liposuction and body sculpting. He brings extensive surgical experience and advanced training to patients seeking to improve their shape, proportions and overall body contours through personalized cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Akkary completed his General Surgery residency in Michigan before pursuing advanced fellowship training at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and specialized Cosmetic Surgery fellowship training at Shumway Cosmetic Surgery in San Diego, California. He also earned an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, combining his clinical background with additional training in leadership and healthcare management.
His cosmetic practice is centered on procedures that address the body from multiple angles, including liposuction, body contouring and sculpting, abdominal contouring, breast and chest procedures, and other surgical treatments designed to improve body shape and proportion. He also incorporates minimally invasive and non-surgical techniques when appropriate, creating treatment plans based on each patient’s anatomy, goals and desired outcome.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Akkary is actively involved in the advancement of cosmetic surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is board certified in General Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Cosmetic Surgery and is currently a Trustee of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He also serves as Chair of the Academy’s Membership Committee and participates in cosmetic surgery education and fellowship training.
